Research projects
My main occupation is my dissertation on aspectuality and evidentiality in Mongolian. While I concentrate on the Khalkha dialect, descriptions of both Middle Mongolian and Khorchin and the diachronic relations between these three varieties are also central to my dissertation. At the current stage, I have analyzed Middle Mongolian, built up and tagged a corpus for Khalkha, and written the background chapter on evidentiality, while finishing the chapter on aspectuality and the compilation of the Khorchin corpus fall within this term.
I am also engaged in the project on the linguistics of temperature (http://ling-asv.ling.su.se/mediawiki/index.php/Main_Page), writing a paper on temperature terms in Khalkha Mongolian. Furthermore, I am writing a paper on negation in Mongolic, assisting Yu. Tsendee in her project “Documenting the Durvud dialect of Oirat in Western Mongolia” (founded by HRELP), and contribute articles mainly on Mongolic to Linguistic Bibliography.
