Each author will be provided a space on which to mount their poster; A1 (594 x 841mm) size is recommended. Pins for attaching posters will also be provided, but there will not be access to side-tables or power outlets. NB: Poster sizes larger than the A1 format may not fit the provided boards.

PowerPoint, Publisher or similar software can also be used to produce clear posters, and most universities, as well as copy shops, have poster printing facilities. Please arrange printing your poster beforehand; we will not be able to print your poster.


  • Maximum poster size: A1 (594 x 841mm).
  • The abstract title, authors and affiliations should be indicated in a heading at the top of your poster.
  • Lettering for the title line should be at least 2.5 cm high (around font size 72), and other text should be readable from a distance (around font size 24-48).
  • Keep visual materials simple and clear.
  • Divide into sections, e.g. Introduction, Analysis, Results.
  • Try to avoid any more than 3 paragraphs of text per section.
  • Graphs, charts, tables and pictures provide clear means of communicating information.
