Research in Swedish as a Second Language for the Deaf

Since the start in the 1980’s research on Swedish as a second language for the deaf has mainly focused on describing similarities and differences between deaf and hearing second language learners. Much of the research has been conducted in close cooperation with the Swedish Special Schools for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
